Every House Has a Story
Join us Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 6–8 PM for an evening of history and ghostly storytelling. Hear stories of Green Cove Springs through the voices of the “ghosts” who lived here, bringing our community’s past to life.

This Thanksgiving season, we're doing something special in Green Cove Springs! Imagine one long table stretching down the middle of historic Walnut Street, filled with laughter, conversation, old friends, and new faces.

This isn't a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. It's a celebration of everything that makes small town life so special: kindness, friendship, generosity, and the simple pleasure of spending time together.
🏡 The Green Cove Springs Preservation Society is sponsoring this gathering because we believe preservation is about more than historic buildings. It's about preserving the stories, traditions, and connections that make our town a place we love to call home.

🎤 Porch-O-Kee at Rivers House
Join us Friday, November 20th, 2026, from 7–9 PM at Rivers House, 219 Spring Street, for an evening of karaoke and community fun! Your votes help choose the winner of the $120 prize.
Enjoy free lawn seating when you bring your own chair, or reserve seats and support the restoration of Rivers House.

We listened and created new ways for everyone to enjoy September PorchFest at the Rivers House. Join us Friday, September 11, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM for live music by local musician Brandon Leino. Bring your lawn chair for free general seating, or choose from several reserved seating and supporter packages. PorchFest is free to attend but not free to produce, so every reservation and donation helps cover event expenses and supports the restoration of the Rivers House. Come sit a spell, enjoy the music, and help us bring the Front Porch of Green Cove Springs to life!
Join us Tuesday, September 8, for the Green Cove Springs Speaker Series, “Repurposing Historic Buildings: The Story of Dunbar High School.” Learn how this historic school was preserved and transformed into the Augusta Savage Arts and Community Center. Betty Demmons, Felecia Hampshire, and Henrietta Francis will share the building’s history, preservation journey, and important role in the community today. The program will be held at the Village Improvement Association. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased through Zeffy.
